Took the train up the Duoro Valley to Pinhão, where we stayed at a hotel with it’s own entrance off the station. We visited four vineyards in 24 hours, and tasted many of the fruits of the region.
Biking in the heat of the day was tough, but there was plenty of wine and a beautiful pool to help cool off. Cruising the river was lovely, and at 5pm we had great light and an almost empty boat as glided by the vineyards. Dinner at the Vintage House Hotel was succulent goat, mushroom risotto, and more port!
