This year I spent many hours volunteering as a coach for a robotics team at the local high school. It was such a rewarding experience, and I documented most of it on social media, even though the kids sort of hate that kind of thing.
We started out as a bunch of rookies and ended up as a real team. They learned about mechanical design, coding, electronics, project planning and resilience. Such great real world engineering lessons! In the Northern Nevada tournament they came in second place, and won an award for best control software at the state championship. Great job team, I’m super proud of you.
