Adventures at home, abroad, and online

Vermont Visit

Went home for the holidays to see family and my hometown for the first time in a few years. Feels very much the same; even as the world has changed around us, Vermont remains beautiful.

Guadalajara

We took advantage of a cheap direct flight and lower covid numbers to travel to a part of Mexico we haven’t been before. It’s past Dia de los Meurtos, but the birria tacos and tequila still flowed freely.

Sierra Foliage

Another photography course with Jeff and Lori of the Great Basin School. We started in Bishop at North Lake, headed to along the eastern escarpment to Bodie for a morning tour including interior access. Amazing light, leaves, and stars.

Escape to the Coast

With the smoke just about unbearable in the mountains, we spent a few weeks along the coast. Drove from Truckee to San Luis Obispbo all the way up to Corvallis and back, visiting friends and taking photos along the way.

Summer Visits

With our friends and family fully vaccinated, we welcomed visitors from the bay and east coast to come enjoy the mountain air. We took folks paddling on Webber Lake, floating the Truckee, kayaking on the west shore, gardening in our back yard, and biking on the high peaks. Fun times!
