Today is our last day with Emmy, and we spent most of it on the drive back to Entebbe. But he still had a few good spots to show us, and we stopped to see zebras in Lake Mburo National Park. We had lunch at a beautiful camp, set on a rock outcropping overlooking the plains. Impalas clustered near the railing, drawn by a natural salt lick. Some of the staff went off to look for their local python, but were unable to find it. We were ok with that outcome.
Emmy dealt admirably with the hellish traffic, taking almost longer to get through Kampala than it had to get halfway across the country. He dropped us off at shmancy hotel near the airport, and then drove the 6+ hours back to broadbill that night. I bought a woolen Masai cloth similar to his, which we can use to picnic in his honor.
We enjoyed some Nile perch meuniere for dinner, and Ruth had a business skype call to California. I sent an application in to a potential contract in Libya, so in all a productive evening.
