Took a week off to go visit some of my favorite places and take photos under the dark and clear skies of the Sierras.
Landed in Reno, and then drove to the south shore of Tahoe for a quick hike and dip in the lake.
Then drove down Bridgeport, where I met up with Jeff and Lori of the Great Basin School of Photography, with whom I have done other trips to Death Valley, Yosemite and the Eastern Sierras.
We spent four nights shooting together: first at Mono Lake to practice, then Tioga Pass to refine our technique, and finally two spectacular evenings in Bodie. Highly recommended if you want to get off the beaten path and to some lesser-known spots.
